I'm sorry, I just had to do it.

It makes me nauseous to read english mother-tongue people who write "eated"... how the hell? I know that it is wrong, and I'm italian! How come YOU don't know it???

ugh I know what you mean! And I can never stop myself from correcting them, and then they get all up in my face about it. Whatever, The only time I've said eated is when I was 3. Grow up people!
If I had a sub this would be one of the stamps I'd have.

Very true. You may be interested to know, if you don't already, that "et" is also a past tense of "eat", though it's more of a regional thing in several places in the US, and I've heard it used many times in the UK. It's non-standard, but acceptable in spoken English at least.

I checked at Dictionary.com to be sure ate was the only possible past form before making the stamp and it listed "et", but only as an archaic pronunciation :shrug:
thank you though, it's interesting to learn more.
