Description

A request by :iconeverroxas: who hates being used to get more pageview by deviants who keep thanking her for her favs, by posting comments on her homepage with the link to the submission.
U B Warned, she'll hide your comment if you do.

Feel free to use this stamp if you agree with her :aww:

[EDIT] I've been reading some comments by people who think that thanking for favs adding a link in the comment is a sly way of getting attention and advertise oneself.
I must say that during my early days here on DA I used to do it, so I feel a bit compelled to give another point of view on the topic.

1)
We all know how difficult it is to get noticed here on DA.
Especially now that the browse section has been changed.
I think we should help eachother to get noticed, even more when we like eachother's work!
I know what you might say: if I want people to know about a deviant I'll feature him/her in my journal.
True, but I don't think it would be a bad idea if DA were a dynamic place with lots of interesting links that bring me around the site on each page.
If you don't do it then it is your choice not to get advertised in other people pages, but if you stop seeing it as a sly way of getting pageviews, and start seeing it as a service to the community, a way of circulating worthy art then you might start doing it yourself, creating a cicle in which you help others, and you are helped by others (if you need to of course).
If you don't need any more watchers, then feel happy about helping fellow deviants who struggle to get noticed but still do worthy art. So worthy that you yourself have faved it.

2)
I'm often curious to know what people add to their favs for two reasons: first because it says a lot about their tastes, and helps me know them better; and second because if I like their work, I might find that I like what they like too.
Although I could go to their favs page, sometimes I'm just speeding by their homepage not having the time to sort through dozens of favs pages, and a single recent fav in a comment is a perfect balance.

3) you don't get a notice in your message centre for the comments you get on your homepage, so how does that disturb you?
I think comments in my deviation pages are more annoying if they don't have anything worthy in it. They fill my message centre with lists of ":D" and "Kewl" and "I agree", to which I don't even know what to answer.

4) Oh, and yes, sometimes I forget who did what. I fav lots of things a day, I might not remember who did what. It's a nice help for me if they tell me what I had faved.

In the end, what's so bad in helping art that you like circulate?

If you are asking yourself why did I stop doing it since I'm not against it, I must tell it's just too time consuming. Just this.

Anyhoo, I just wanted to give you another point of view, not really to argue, so if you still don't want thanks with links on your homepage feel completely free to use this stamp :aww:
And if you want to reply to what I wrote I'll be happy to read your point of view, as long as it is polite otherwise I'll hide it

I say 'thx for the fave' all the time, but I look at the person's art ( the person who faved mine ) and if I see anything I like, I fave that person's work.
